Mel was the second captain of the Devils, and the only one whose puck was not readily available for purchase. I wanted to keep this subset all Devils pucks, or at least no pucks of other teams.
But, I followed this Flyers one on eBay until I felt I had exhausted all other options, so I obtained it and completed the Captains collection.
Mel is one of those guys who is really careful of where he signs, and I couldn’t help noticing that no portion of his autograph extended onto the Flyers logo, which gave me an idea.
